Cool and fresh air, the smell of lush green plants, tall trees everywhere, and the refreshing feel of being surrounded by different species of plants.  This will welcome you as you enter La Mesa Ecopark.

Situated in the heart of Quezon City, the 2000 hectares park is the last remaining forest park of its size serving Metro Manila. La Mesa Ecopark is significant because it acts as a “Carbon Dioxide sink” and function as the “Lungs of Metro Manila.”

La Mesa Ecopark provides nearby recreation, meditation, and enhances the quality of living. It provides amenities the people can enjoy.  It is designed to make an interaction between nature and environment, making it a wonderful place to relax and contemplate.

Its special feature is the Shell flower terrace which is the dam wall of the reservoir. Climbing the steps is really tiring but it pays off as soon as you reach the top. It is overlooking the La Mesa dam and the Ecopark’s beautiful landscaping. Being there is like having a break from the city life, having a retreat within the city.

The plan of the park is like a sprawling type which branches out from one point to another.  Because of its large size, this plan is appropriate because you can enjoy the beauty of the park and it’s amenities as well without getting confused with its zoning.

The La Mesa Ecopark is a tropical forest garden. It caters different species of plants. The park follows a simple layout which mimics a rain forest and landscape elements are arranged and designed in terms of repetition which is arranged in grids, harmony which complements other landscape elements, color in which it attracts attention and create s focal point, and variety in which you can distinguish the landscape element from another. It features old aged trees, aquatic, and ornamental plants. The refreshing feeling of the forest mist and the smell of the natural earth soil makes a perfect combination to replicate a forest like park.
